Prayers And Resources

SALVATION PRAYER:

Romans 10:8 tells us that “If you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord’, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” If you are ready to invite Jesus Christ into your life, say the simple yet powerful prayer of transition below: Jesus I want to thank you for dying for my sins. I confess you as my Lord and now repent of my sins and invite you to come into my heart. Thank you for making me the person you created me to be. I now receive you as my personal Saviour and Lord and promise to live the way your Word instructs me to. This I pray in Jesus name Amen. Congratulations! Since you now belong to Christ, you have become a new person. Your old life is gone; a new life has begun! (2 Corinthians 5:17).

YOU ARE NOW BORN AGAIN.
NOW WHAT?

Congratulations! This is the best decision you'll ever make. The below is just a brief synopsis of the next steps. I would strongly recommend that you join a good church that will help to disciple you and equip you with tools to help you succeed in your new walk with Christ.

Tell someone about the decision you have made to follow Christ. This will help to keep you accountable and essentially, you will be telling the world that you are now ‘under new management’.

Read your Bible everyday. The Gospel of John is a great place to start.

Pray everyday. Prayer is simply talking with God. Speak to Him as you would any other close friend. Have regular conversations with Him about anything, really. He loves you and wants to hear from you. Also spend some quiet moments listening for His voice.

Be obedient to what God tells you to do or not do- even though it doesn’t make too much sense to you at the time. To love God is to obey His commands (John 14:15).

Find a good church that preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ and attend regularly. Relating with other believers is instrumental to your walk with Christ. There is a lot we can learn from each other.

Join a small/cell group if your church has one. There is no better way to quickly and effectively cultivate lasting friendships with brethren than in a small group setting. You will be cared for, prayed for, and encouraged in your new walk.

Don’t give up or look back. Remember that you are on a journey. Just like a child isn’t born walking and talking, maturity in your new faith will not happen overnight. You will stumble and fall, like all Christians do. The key is to get back up! If you sin, repent, ask God to forgive you and wash you clean and carry on with the business of living your life in Christ.

YOU HAVE MY SUPPORT. If you have any questions, or if you’ve just given your life to Christ, please let me know by sending me an e-mail through the contact me page. Congratulations once more! This is one decision you will never regret.
